Virgin Islands Craft Distillers exists to give anybody the opportunity to capture the spirit of the Virgin Islands and share it with their friends and families. So we made sure the branding embraced this from the logo to each individual label design. Inspired by the rich local tales of adventure such as Sir Francis Drake, the 3 Queens, and the Blue Marlin we developed a brand narrative based on authenticity while creating opportunities to educate consumers on the islands’ epic history. The eye catching branding and label design puts a refined and contemporary twist on the historic nautical roots of the region. Our strategy combines community, tradition, and authenticity with adventure, ambition, and passion. The tagline For the Strong Spirited completes the experience with a bold garnish leaving a memorable aftertaste for any island goer to linger on.

Renowned as the greatest catch in all the sea, the blue marlin is the most sought after prize only attainable by the most skilled fisherman. Their incredible speed, unbreakable spirit, and powerful beauty is unparalleled at any depth. The marlin is destined to satisfy any angler’s thirst for adventure.
These magnificent creatures spend most of their life far out at sea in deep isolation – luring many adventurers to uncharted waters with their siren song of legend, honor and prestige. Once hooked, the thrill of the marlin is its will to never surrender.

Just like rum, there is a dichotomy of light and dark behind Sir Francis Drake. Hero to the English, villain to the Spanish – Drake was known as The Queen’s Pirate. Born a commoner, he rose to knighthood and carried his country with him. His coat of arms bore his credo Sic Parvis Magna, or in other words from humble beginnings to great achievements.
Drake’s unquenchable thirst for adventure was one of a kind and it led him around the world. His legendary voyages became close guarded secrets of the realm – his knowledge of the far reaches of the globe protected at all costs by the Queen. Drake took these secrets to the grave with him – to the depths of the Virgin Islands where his last journey came to a perilous end.
This dark rum has been crafted to embody Drake’s spirit of adventure – raw enough for a pirate, yet refined for royalty with triumph in every sip.

In 1878 three women became symbols of freedom and rebellion. Mary, Agnes and Mathilda were known locally as the “queens”.
Even after the abolition of slavery, conditions in the Virgin Islands were tough. Frustration and unrest were brewing – sparking the uprising remembered as the Fireburn. With passion and unstoppable determination the three queens ignited the island and are remembered today as heroes.
This gin commemorates the queens’ legacy. It embodies the spirit of the islands’ history and natural beauty. Handcrafted in small batches and made with local bushtea botanicals, 3 Queens Gin is for those who are not afraid to take the path less traveled and toast to the strong spirited!
