Clean Air Task Force

Clean Air Task Force (CATF) is on a mission to get to a high-energy, zero-emissions planet at an affordable cost.

The Project

Rebrand and website design

The Challenge

Climate change is a heated topic often associated with reactions on the polar ends of the political spectrum. For over 22 years, CATF has kept their focus, intellectual integrity and industry status as practical climate-problem solvers. However, as the organization looked ahead, it became clear that a new brand strategy was needed to raise visibility, strengthen positioning and attract engagement with new audiences. The outdated identity and website design needed to be replaced with a more robust content strategy, integrated communication channels, and comprehensive brand refresh.

The Solution

We evolved the brand to a modern platform for knowledge, resources and collaboration with a fresh look and dynamic presence. By conducting a complete brand audit and identity refresh, we were able to provide a website redesign and UX strategy that transformed the site into a robust platform for content, current news, and expert knowledge. Our team designed a new visual system for communication and put a brand narrative in place along with a strategy for differentiation, engagement, and outreach.

Brand Video

Our team produced a powerful brand video to raise awareness around the complex issue of climate change and drive philanthropic support. In order to distill a difficult subject rooted in science, technology and politics, we combined engaging visual design with strong storytelling. CATF is one of the most disruptive, non-traditional, non-partisan, no-nonsense environmental organizations inside and outside of the U.S. The style of the video reinforces these attributes of differentiation and raises awareness of the brand’s role as a thought leader and a place for investment and philanthropic support.

Website Redesign

The updated brand architecture and strategy informed the development of the new website design and content strategy, providing CATF with more opportunities to expand impact, communicate with key stakeholders and new audiences, and raise visibility.

The organization’s traditional blog was transformed into The Latest – a new digital space for information and knowledge featuring all the latest insights, news, publications and expert opinions from CATF’s team. This new content hub for information and resources allows audiences to stay in the know about the changes needed for a high-energy, zero-emissions planet at an affordable cost.
